    Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Conducts Financial Literacy and Awareness Programs on Occasion of GMW 2024

    Mahalaxmi Development Bank, under its institutional social responsibility, has identified various target groups who are excluded from financial access and has conducted financial literacy, rallies, and awareness programs through seven branches in seven provinces. 

    The bank on the occasion of Global Money Week 2024 (GMW 2024) has been conducting programs to enhance financial literacy among students and youths, aiming to develop financial knowledge, behavior, and attitude. These programs also include financial literacy programs, morning programs, and dissemination of various awareness-raising video content through social media.

    The bank has actively participated in various financial literacy programs conducted at local levels of various districts of the country. Approximately a thousand people participated in these programs, including students, local youths, daily wage earners, farmers, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, potential foreign job seekers, women, and remittance recipients.

    These programs have provided information on savings, loans, investments, clean notes, electronic financial services, remittances, complaints, financial service providers, insurance, financial fraud, and financial discipline.

    Similarly, the bank has conducted Prabhatpheri programs in various locations of the country on the occasion of GMW 2024. In the Prabhatpheri programs organized by Lumbini and Madhesh provinces, banking services such as mobile banking, smart queue, deposit, loan, remittance, and use of related placards were used.

    Likewise, the bank has successfully disseminated various awareness-raising video content through social media related to electrical payments, financial fraud, and risks associated with public Wi-Fi, ensuring the success of GMW 2024.

    While reinforcing the slogan “Strong Bank, Successful Cooperation,” the bank, for the past 29 years, has been providing simple, easy, and quality financial services to the Nepali people in their homes. The bank has also expressed its commitment to continuously enhance the effectiveness of institutional social responsibility activities in the coming days.
